What We Believe
About the Bible:
We teach that the scriptures of the old and new testament are verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writing. They are the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
About God:
We teach that God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He exists eternally in three persons; Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
About Jesus Christ:
We teach that Jesus is the Son of God. He was begotten by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary and is true God and true man. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all men by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. We also teach the personal body visible, imminent return of Christ at the time of God's choosing as described in the book of Revelation from the scriptures.
About the Holy Spirit:
We teach the Holy Spirit is a person and is equal with the Father and Son as God and possesses all the divine attributes. He dwells in all believers, baptizes and seals all believers at the time of their salvation and fills them in response to confession of sin and yieldedness. His presence in the world makes men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides believers with understanding, truth and guidance toward right living and accomplishing God's direction for our lives.
About Heaven and Hell:
We teach the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of those who have accepted Jesus into their lives within the confines of a literal Heaven. We also teach the conscious everlasting punishment of those lost as a result of failing to receive Christ into their lives within the confines of a literal Hell.
About Finding Peace and Meaning with God:
We teach that man was created in the image of God and that he sinned, thereby incurring not ony physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God for eternity. Because of this separation God sent the Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins in order to restore the imbalance caused by man's sin. Jesus fulfilled the scriptures and became a representative and substitutionary sacrifice. All that believe in Him and receive Him into their lives are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. All who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again in the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. When we receive forgiveness of our sins from Christ, the Holy Spirit becomes one with our spirit and it provides us with the peace and meaning with God that we seek and we are restored into a right relationship with God. This forgiveness and relationship with God is available to anyone regardless of past indiscretions, backgrounds, nationality, etc... Everyone is eligible to receive Jesus' gift of love and receive peace and meaning with God!
